Again, falling asleep as I write
3.X.07 - MoM
After sleeping on the rest of the stuff I was too tired to write, it wasn't really all that exciting.
I continue to do my stickers. I am such a child about them. As I think I said in a recent blog, there are times I would be tempted to skip such things as eye drops (I still haven't learned to do them easily) or some of the other routines, but I won't cheat on the stickers. The real test will come on next week's jaunt. There will be some modifications to the routines but I am going to try to keep the basics, something I have never done in the past.
I had mentioned earlier the disappearance of my Synthoid pills. Tuesday, when Charlie and Sandy were here, we, (especially Charlie) mounted a serious search for the pills. No luck. Finally on Tuesday afternoon, I called the drug store and explained my problem. The lost Rx was for 3 months and with Blue Cross picking up the bill was only a few dollars. I was prepared to pay for the replacement and it was $45. I was having them delivered on Thursday.
For my glittery parrot sticker today, I took on the printer side of my chair. The stacks were neat but tall. You can guess that the pills turned up in their sack in a pile beside the printer and in plenty of time to cancel the replacement order!
This afternoon I was surprised to see Julia and a boy friend come by. She is taking "Clothing" at school and was wondering if she could borrow my sewing machine to work on stuff at home. Only one major problem -- it is not portable but in a large cabinet that we bought for the sewing machine I had in Saalfelden. Of course, we could not bring the machine back due to the power difference so I had sold it over there. She was also interested to see if I had any extra fabric around, That I did have. I am going to really start sewing again especially when almost all my slacks are threadbare and I have "Stretch & Sew" slacks material for 3 pair. I was able to give her some pieces that she can work with. While in the closet, she saw several pair of my old beaded moccasins and liked them. I never wear those anymore, as now I wear ones with rubber soles, so she has them now. I am really pumped about sewing again. Thank goodness, I have the sewing books and notes from the classes.
Ted was here today and planted some more jonquils, put some plants to bed, and cleaned up some stuff. About the last "visit" this year. He suggested potting the impatients in Grandmother Graham's planter on the porch for the sunroom. I was also interested in trying to winter over the baby bamboo he had planted there especially for me. It ended up with his carrying the entire planter into the sunroom. Only problem with things in there -- it gets s very hot.
Falling asleep at the computer, so will wind this up for now. More tomorrow. I keep falling asleep while typing this. I'm going to be foolhardy and mail this without proofing it, Again, I'm falling asleep as I sit herel
